The Suzuki Music Institute, founded in 1980, is dedicated to “Talent Education”, the teaching philosophy of the late Dr. Shinichi Suzuki.

Our purpose is to foster a love for music, while the child develops the ability to play a musical instrument.  The musical art develops spiritual & emotional capacity, as well as intellectual growth.  In addition to technical skill, our goal is to enrich the child’s character through the discipline of practice, memorization, and performance, while developing sensitivity & self esteem.  Dr. Suzuki believed that just as children are successful at learning their native language, they can also develop musical ability if given training at an early age.
